(24-9-09) - Guest Speaker, Henry Franklin from the Melmarsh Prostate Cancer Support Group, is a prostate cancer survivor and spoke about Prostate Cancer. Henry discussed the importance of early detection in fighting Prostate Cancer. Henry also provided some interesting facts about the relationship between Breast Cancer in Women and Prostrate Cancer in Men. The Melmarsh Prostate Cancer Support Group is fighting to have the same recognition and screening for Prostrate Cancer as is provided for Breast Cancer.

(23-7-09) - Principals Rhonda and Marilyn from Melton South Primary School (KOPS - Kids on Problem Solving) and Coburns Primary School (SPC - Safety Patrol Crew) gave an interesting talk on a Camp they run with local Police, along with 25 students to form a basis to promote and encourage disadvantaged children to hold positions of responsibility in their schools. They are provided with workshops and training in many areas of leadership and responsibility. The Rotary Club of Melton Valley provided $2000 toward the cost of this camp.
